‘Feeling real is more than existing… it is finding a way to exist as oneself… and to have a self into which to retreat for relaxing’

Psychology and Consulting Services

At the core of this practice is a deep understanding that emotional wellness is a journey unique to each individual. These Psychology and Consulting Services are tailored to meet you wherever you are on this path, offering support and expert guidance through various stages of life and the myriad challenges they present. From adolescence to late adulthood, this approach is personalised, compassionate, and rooted in the best practice guidelines as well as psychodynamic principles and practice.

Individual Psychotherapy

I provide psychotherapy to individuals from adolescence through to the late adult years.

Each individual brings to therapy their specific concerns, their personal experiences and a unique way of viewing and relating to themselves and to others.

Individuals also progress through developmental phases (no matter the age!). Different phases present different challenges and some of us can find these challenges more difficult than others.

I believe it is important to hold both of these aspects in mind, in psychotherapy.

I have a flexible approach to working with adolescents. Depending on the individual adolescent and their parents, I may work primarily with the parents, primarily with the adolescent, or the parents and adolescents together. I have found flexibility works best with this age group.

Parent Consultancy

I have worked as a therapist with pre-school and primary-aged children in previous years. I now direct this experience and understanding of the developmental needs of children to building on and strengthening parent-child relationships.

While parents know their child best, no one is born a parent. And some stages can get pretty tough. Working on ways to enrich the parent-child relationship is an investment for life – for both parent and child.

I provide this service for parents of children from infancy and into adulthood.

Our Clinical Psychology services extend to families throughout the Illawarra from Helensburgh in the north to Shellharbour & Kiama in the south, from Warrawong in the east to Thirroul, Dapto and Albion Park in the west.

Are you struggling with low mood, lack of interest and motivation, poor sleep, irritability?

These symptoms can be temporary. However, if these symptoms are not shifting, getting more widespread or more intense, you might benefit from professional support.

Receive compassionate support to process grief, finding a way to heal and honor lost loved ones.

Is anxiety or worry getting in your way? Stopping you from being your best self? From achieving your goals? From having fun or meeting new people?

Sometimes these symptoms become entrenched and it can feel quite overwhelming. Talking things over with a professional can help with perspective and assist with developing more supportive ways to work with oneself.
